3. Services Provided

3.1 Service Description

Jedox Performance provides a range of professional automotive services including, but not limited to:

  • ECU remapping and tuning
  • TCU (transmission) tuning and remapping
  • Launch control integration
  • Speed limiter adjustment
  • DTC (diagnostic trouble code) removal
  • AdBlue system fault repairs
  • DPF/GPF (diesel/petrol particulate filter) repairs
  • EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) repairs and deletion
  • Immobiliser removal
  • Ghost immobiliser installation
  • Sound and character modifications
  • Diagnostic services

3.2 Service Scope

Our services are limited to the specific work detailed in your booking confirmation or service agreement. Any work outside the agreed scope requires a separate quotation and written approval.

3.3 Professional Standards

All services are performed by qualified technicians using professional-grade diagnostic and tuning equipment. We maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism in all our operations.

 

4. Booking and Quotations

4.1 Quotation Process

Quotations provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary depending on:

  • Actual vehicle condition and complexity
  • Additional work identified during service
  • Parts or materials required
  • Labour time required

4.2 Quotation Validity

Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. After this period, a new quotation may be required.

4.3 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from Jedox Performance. This confirmation will include:

  • Service date and time
  • Specific services to be performed
  • Estimated cost
  • Payment terms
  • Any special conditions or requirements

4.4 Changes to Booking

If you need to modify your booking, contact us as soon as possible. We will attempt to accommodate changes subject to availability. Significant changes may require a revised quotation.

 

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

  • Bank transfer
  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • Cash (on completion of service)

5.2 Payment Timing

  • Deposits – A deposit may be required to secure your booking (amount specified in your quotation)
  • Final Payment – Full payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing

5.3 Payment Failure

If payment is not received by the agreed date, we reserve the right to:

  • Withhold the vehicle or completed work
  • Charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate of 8% per annum
  • Pursue legal action to recover outstanding amounts
  • Cancel any future bookings

5.4 Pricing and Taxes

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Additional charges for parts, materials, or unforeseen work will be communicated to you before proceeding.

 

6. Warranty and Guarantees

6.1 Service Warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty on all services performed, covering:

  • Defects in workmanship
  • Failure of modifications to perform as specified
  • Software or tuning-related issues directly caused by our work

6.2 Warranty Limitations

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
  • Modifications or work performed by third parties
  • Vehicle damage resulting from external factors (accidents, weather, etc.)
  • Issues arising from modifications to other vehicle systems
  • Consequential or indirect damages

6.3 Warranty Claims

To claim warranty coverage, you must:

  • Contact us within 30 days of identifying the issue
  • Provide evidence of the problem
  • Allow us to inspect and diagnose the issue
  • Not attempt repairs or modifications yourself

6.4 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty is void if:

  • The vehicle has been serviced or modified by unauthorised third parties
  • The vehicle has been involved in an accident or collision
  • Maintenance schedules have not been followed
  • The vehicle has been subjected to extreme use or abuse

 

7. Vehicle Modifications and Risks

7.1 Acknowledgment of Risks

You acknowledge that vehicle modifications carry inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Potential impact on vehicle warranty (manufacturer warranty may be affected)
  • Changes to vehicle performance characteristics
  • Potential reliability issues if not properly maintained
  • Possible legal implications regarding vehicle modifications
  • Insurance implications (your insurer should be notified)

7.2 Manufacturer Warranty

Modifications performed by Jedox Performance may affect your vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. You are responsible for understanding these implications and notifying your vehicle manufacturer if required.

7.3 Insurance and Legal Compliance

You are responsible for:

  • Informing your vehicle insurance provider of any modifications
  • Ensuring all modifications comply with UK road traffic regulations
  • Obtaining any necessary approvals or certifications
  • Ensuring the vehicle remains roadworthy and safe

7.4 No Liability for Consequences

Jedox Performance is not liable for:

  • Loss of manufacturer warranty
  • Insurance claim denials
  • Legal consequences of modifications
  • Vehicle damage or failure resulting from modifications
  • Third-party claims arising from modifications

 

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel your booking by providing written notice:

  • More than 7 days before appointment – Full refund of deposit
  • 3-7 days before appointment – 50% of deposit retained as cancellation fee
  • Less than 3 days before appointment – Deposit forfeited in full
  • On the day of appointment – Full service cost charged

8.2 Cancellation by Jedox Performance

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone services if:

  • The vehicle is unsafe or unroadworthy
  • You fail to provide required information
  • Payment is not received
  • Unforeseen circumstances prevent service delivery

In such cases, any deposit will be refunded or credited to a future booking.

8.3 Refunds for Completed Services

Refunds for completed services are not available unless:

  • The service was not performed as agreed
  • The service failed to meet professional standards
  • A material breach of these Terms occurred

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of service completion.

8.4 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days to your original payment method.

 

9. Liability and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jedox Performance’s total liability arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9.2 Exclusion of Consequential Damages

Jedox Performance is not liable for:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of business opportunity
  • Loss of data or information
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Damages arising from vehicle downtime or inconvenience

9.3 Exceptions

These limitations do not apply to:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded by law

 

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Software and Tuning Files

All tuning files, software, calibrations, and intellectual property created or used in the provision of services remain the property of Jedox Performance or our licensors.

10.2 License Grant

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the tuning files solely on your vehicle for personal use.

10.3 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute tuning files
  • Reverse engineer or modify software
  • Transfer files to third parties
  • Use files on vehicles other than your own without written permission
  • Sell or commercialise the files

10.4 Breach of IP Rights

Unauthorised use of intellectual property may result in legal action and damages.

 

11. Diagnostic Services

11.1 Diagnostic Scope

Diagnostic services include computer-based analysis of vehicle systems using professional diagnostic equipment. Diagnostics may identify issues but do not guarantee resolution.

11.2 Diagnostic Fees

Diagnostic fees are charged separately and are non-refundable unless a fault is identified and you choose not to proceed with repairs.

11.3 Findings and Recommendations

Diagnostic findings are provided as recommendations only. You are not obligated to proceed with any repairs identified.

11.4 Accuracy

Whilst we use professional diagnostic equipment, some issues may not be immediately identifiable. Additional diagnostics or testing may be required.

 

12. Appointment Scheduling and Attendance

12.1 Appointment Booking

Appointments must be booked in advance through our website, phone, or email. Availability is subject to our current workload.

12.2 Appointment Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email or phone call with your appointment date, time, and service details.

12.3 Punctuality

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, contact us immediately.

12.4 No-Show Policy

If you fail to attend your appointment without prior notice:

  • Your deposit will be forfeited
  • Future bookings may be subject to full prepayment
  • We reserve the right to cancel future bookings

12.5 Service Duration

Service times are estimates only. Actual duration may vary depending on vehicle condition and complexity. We will keep you informed of any delays.

 

13. Vehicle Care and Responsibility

13.1 Vehicle Condition

You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is in safe, roadworthy condition when dropped off. We are not liable for pre-existing mechanical issues unrelated to our services.

13.2 Vehicle Security

Whilst we take reasonable precautions, Jedox Performance is not responsible for:

  • Theft or vandalism of your vehicle
  • Damage from external factors
  • Loss of personal items left in the vehicle

We recommend removing valuables before dropping off your vehicle.

13.3 Vehicle Inspection

We reserve the right to inspect your vehicle before, during, and after service. If the vehicle is deemed unsafe or unroadworthy, we may refuse to proceed with services.

13.4 Additional Work

If additional work is identified during service that was not included in the original quotation, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. Additional charges will apply.
